In March of this year, I found myself walking out of a Rend Collective concert feeling so convicted God was calling me back to the mission field. I had no details, no answers, and no information. But I knew. I knew I was being called back to the mission field in some capacity.
As I began to process, pray, and journal about this, I remembered a dream I had when I was a baby Racer before training camp. I had this dream to become a team leader, then a raised up squad leader, then an alumni squad leader, and then a squad mentor. I know that is a whole lot of Race lingo, but basically I wanted to climb from one leadership position to the next within the World Race.
When the first two (team leader & raised up squad leader) did not happen on my Race, I promptly forgot about that dream and told myself it would never happen. So when God called me back to the mission field, my first thought was not of the World Race, but that is where God led me.
In January of 2019, I will begin Center for Global Action (CGA), or essentially leadership/discipleship school, through the same organization as the World Race. My intent is to finish CGA and then go back out on the field as an alumni squad leader, which means my role will be to mentor & lead Racers out on the field on their World Race.
Most days it is hard to believe that almost four years ago God led me to the World Race, that three years ago I launched on the World Race, that two years ago I returned home from the World Race, and now that God is calling me back to the very same organization that flipped my life upside down in all the best ways.
This is where I will be keeping everyone up to date about the preparation, fundraising and support, and while I am at CGA!
